WHAT A WAY
to spend the 4th of July!
I can't say a lot but what I can say is that I understand now, as I draw up a core memory from long ago in Berlin, when I talked to that East Coaster who traveled through South East Asia and ended up in Thailand during the protests.
When I told him it was my first choice but because of the State of Emergency I decided to go to Germany instead. He then replied that it wasn't so much a state of emergency in Bangkok in 2014 but "more like a party". And aha hoho I get it now I truly get it now!
Every day I look for those little points of magic and I find them in the best places, I find those liminal spaces of freedom that I felt so long ago in the nightcclubs and I know for a fact that they are all interconnected.
To be honest my words are not giving what I feel inside justice, and it's going to take a little longer to process but articulate but...
May my life be a party and May all my parties be rebellious, and political.
